The actual operation of your REnU requires minimal human interface. The fuel supply is delivered day after day without the need of an extensive mining activities or a complex distribution chain. Sunlight is converted into electricity without the need for any mechanical or moving parts – further eliminating the need for human involvement. The only point at which we need to become involved is when a REnU component fails or a system-wide reduction occurs.

In the event that one of the previously mentioned issues occurs, Citizenrē will issue a work order to assess the system and either repair or replace a portion of the REnU. It may be that the system simply needs to have a wire reconnected, or that an inverter needs to be replaced, or that the panels simply need to be cleaned of debris or build-up. Whatever the case may be, Citizenrē will respond quickly to get your REnU back up to its optimum capacity.

Your REnU is designed to last for 25+ years. Very minimal maintenance is required; the occasional washing of the panels using a hose can be of help, but is typically not necessary unless you live in a dusty location. Tree sap, bird droppings, leaves and branches may also build-up from time to time. You may remove these things by either pulling them away or using a squeegee or sponge. It is not necessary for you to provide this service for us, but it is appreciated if you do.

A well-maintained REnU will provide the greatest amount of electricity for you over its entire life-time. This matters to you because the electricity that you generate from the REnU will never cost you any more. By contrast, the electricity you receive from the utility will most likely continue to increase in cost. If you do decide to go up on your roof, we strongly caution you to make safety your number one priority. Please do not attempt any cleaning of the REnU unless you have the proper safety equipment and you are completely comfortable and capable of such actions.
